Biography:
Thaal Sinestro first appeared in Green Lantern #7 (July 1961) and is one of the most prominent antagonists of Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, within the DC Comics universe. He was once considered the greatest Green Lantern of the Green Lantern Corps.
Originally from the planet Korugar, Sinestro was selected for his fearlessness and discipline. He was a mentor to Hal Jordan, teaching him the ways of the Corps, but his methods were often ruthless and authoritarian. Sinestro believed in maintaining order through fear and control, ultimately leading to his expulsion from the Corps.
Stripped of his green power ring, Sinestro was exiled. He later forged a yellow power ring powered by fear, becoming a major threat to the Green Lantern Corps. He formed the Sinestro Corps, a team of fear-mongering villains, and has consistently sought to reshape the universe according to his warped ideals. He is identifiable by his distinctive Black Suit at times which serves as a symbol of his rebellion against the Green Lantern Corps.
